As you are planning your wedding you will want it to be a celebration of your love and bringing two families together. Throughout the planning process you’ve probably asked your family for their opinion about your venue, cuisine, colors, and even vendors. When the big day arrives, make it even more special by having your family be part of the celebration.
Here are a few of our favorite family moments that took place at Anthony’s Pier 9!
During the Ceremony
Your ceremony is the most important part of your day. When looking for an officiant, check with your family see if anyone is ordained or would like to be. This is a fantastic way to add a special touch to your ceremony. Ask your sister, dad, or even your bridesmaids just like these couples did!
Let’s not forget about our furry members of the family!
To most couples, their dogs are like their children. So how could you not have them be part of the most important day of your life? Check with your venue to make sure you can bring your dog for pictures, because this is just too cute!!
How Children Can Brighten Up Your Day
Kids are normally the most entertaining part of a wedding. Whether they are your children, nieces/nephews, or younger cousins, they always make your day so much sweeter. You can have them walking down the aisle holding signs with their cute smiles. Include them during your introductions or if you are bold, give them a seat at your head table alongside you and your new spouse. These are great memories to share with them as they grow older!
Take a Family photo
Make sure you talk to your photographer about setting aside time for a family photo. It’s a picture that you will cherish forever and can even be on your next holiday card!
Let’s not forget having your parents be a part of your wedding day
During the planning process your parents help out so much. Whether it be picking out your invitations, selecting the right décor, or simply emotional support as you pull it all together; they are such a huge part of your wedding! One of our personal favorites is including them in your ceremony. Bring up your Mom’s and have them light a family candle (there will definitely be tears). Be sure to set aside time for photos with them throughout the day. Of course parent dances are are wonderful way to share a special moment with just them.
