Without a doubt fall is the most demanded time for weddings, especially in upstate New York. There are mountains, trees changing to vibrant colors, the cool evening air, it is all just perfect for wedding season! We found the best ways to make your fall wedding special at Anthony’s Pier 9 from some of our past weddings:

1. North Garden Ceremony

A fall wedding wouldn’t be the same if it didn’t have an outdoor atmosphere. The weather is always comfortable and the scenery is beautiful. Our North Garden is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony. The trees have already changed colors for that perfect photo when you say I do. All of our flowers are mums to add that extra color to your space. Add in some pumpkins and leaves and you have the romantic and fall feel you are looking for!

2. Mums, Mums, and more Mums

Our most demanded picture spot is our famous Cinderella Carriage. In the fall all of the landscape is filled with mums. This beautiful picture spot becomes just a little more special with the variety of mums that are added. The best time to take your fall photo is at sunset with the carriage lit up. It will definitely be talked about by your guests for months after your wedding

3. The Dress

When shopping for your perfect dress there are so many options to take in to consideration. We love this long sleeve, lace dress for a fall wedding. It may be a little chilly but a dress like this will provide comfort and added that fall feeling to her special day.

5. New York Mountains

If you live in New York you know that the mountains are the biggest excitement in the fall. The colors of the leaves change and give the mountain a breath taking view. Why not have this view as the backdrop of your ceremony. No decorating needed here when you have a view like that!

6. Sweetheart Table

Dressing up your head table is a great way to continue your outside fall feel into the ballroom. This floral arrangement became a fall feature by adding orange leaves and a little bit of burlap.

7. November Wedding

You can still have a wedding in November! We have many couples that want fall weddings and are nervous about having it in November because it gets colder. This couple had their ceremony outdoors and were able to take advantage of all the fun aspects of fall. They even had the string of lights to give there ceremony a little ambiance and warmth.

8. The First Dance

Dancing on the clouds is a great way to have your first dance. Many couples are looking to add something to make their first dance special and this is still one of the most popular ways to do it. If you use a fog machine in the fall you may even give a spooky feel to your wedding if you love Halloween!

10. Make it Your Fall Wedding

This is your special day so you can add all the elements that make it your day! This couple brought in pumpkins to decorate their ceremony space. They added leaves to the balcony for perfect photos of the bride. They didn’t need to add much but it was a personal touch to represent them as a couple and make their fall wedding perfect.
